<A> .. </A> tag tutorials

  • This is a paired tag. It requires opening and closing tags.

  • It stands for Hyperlink Reference. Popularity of Internet WWW (World Wide Web) lies in its ability to link current document with other documents, graphics and other resources over the cyberspace. Having hyperlinks on web pages makes the WWW the most powerful source of Information

  • The essence of HTML lies in linking documents within cyberspace. The browse usually distinguishes Hyperlinks from normal text.

  • Every hyperlink by default appears in Blue color.

  • Every hyperlink text or image is underline.

  • When visitor comes in contact over a link object, standard mouse Arrow pointer changes to shape of Hand Pointer and it display name of hyperlink file in bottom scroll bar.

  • <A HREF =URL or FILE NAME> TEXT </A>: This attribute will specify hypertext URL or Reference file name. It displays Text given as Link in underlined Blue color. When visitor Click on given link, it will move to URL or file name given.

  • <A HREF=URL or FILE NAME><IMG SRC= Graphic or Animated File name></A>: This will specify hypertext URL or Reference file name and instead of Text you can use GRAPHIC/BUTTON or ANIMATED FILE. When visitor Click on given graphic image, it will move to URL or file name given.
