12) Make sure you check the Download updates while installing checkbox as this will enable the OS to update itself if a new version is available. Also check the Install this third-party software which enables you to listen to music in Ubuntu and click the Continue button.

13) Please select the Erase disk and install Ubuntu option. Don't panic by seeing the warning as you are working on a virtual environment this will not affect your local disk. Click the Continue button.

14) Click the Install Now button. It is recommended that you should not change the select drive option in a virtual environment. When you click the Install Now button the progress bar shows the current information for Installing Ubuntu.

Note : ext-4 stands for Extended partition edition 4. This is a file system by which Linux Ubuntu manages files. For people who have installed Windows might be aware of NTFS (New Technology File System) and FAT-32 (File Allocation Table) file systems.

The OS will automatically manipulate the contents of Your Computer's Name textbox however you can change it if you wish.

If you are the only one, who uses Linux Ubuntu you can select the Log In automatically option.

But it is better for security concerns you select Require my password to log in.

Note: It is highly recommended to uncheck the Encrypt my home folder option.

18) After clicking the Continue Button the OS goes into the installing system phase. In this case it will retrieve the files, check the files and lastly install the files.

This phase lasts for about 15 minutes to 45 minutes depending on your processor type and speed.

19) After this phase you will redirected to the following screen which will show you that Installation is complete and you need to restart the system. Click the Restart Now Button.
