Administrating License Logging Services tutorials

Through this service, Administrator can manage and track licensing through Licensing option in Control Panel or Administrative Tools.

  • To Start and Manage License Logging services.

  • Click START -> ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS -> SERVICES

  • Double click on “License Logging”

  • Configure Startup Type as “Automatic” and Click “Start” if service status is stopped.

Administrating Licensing Locally

  • The Licensing Option in “CONTROL PANEL” is used to manage Local Server Licensing.

  • It is used to manage ADD or REMOVE “CAL” for Per Server Licensing mode

  • Convert Per Server Licensing to Per Device or Per User Licensing.

Microsoft Allow one-time conversion from Per Server to Per Device or Per User connection.

  • If you want to switch from Per Server connection to Per Device or Per Connection, in “CONTROL PANEL”  “Choose LICENSING”. You will see License Violation Dialog box warning u that your change may violate the License Agreement, Click “NO” button if you have met all of the terms of License Agreement.

  • You can Convert Per Server Licensing to Per Device or Per User Licensing one time. But YOU CAN NOT convert Per Device or Per User License to Per Server.
