NETWORK MONITOR tutorials

  • With Network Monitor you can capture packets or frames and their contents. It is used to analyze network traffic and gather information about communication between two computers and reports statistics about network traffic.

  • You can view contents of sent and received packets.

  • There are 2 different version of Network Monitor

  • You can filter what to capture. There are 2 methods

Network Monitor

To install Network Monitor do as follow

  • Control Panel – Add / Remove Programs – Windows Component

  • Double Click “Management and Monitor Tools” and select “Network Monitor Tool”

 

To Start Network Monitor

  • Start – Administrative Tools – Network Monitor

 

To save Network Captured Frame

  • In Network Monitor -- File menu -- Save
